Command & Conquer Remastered Gameplay Footage Revealed

No longer must we imagine, the first view of Command & Conquer Remastered gameplay has been revealed.

Electronic Arts has been teasing us ever so slowly about the eventual remaster of the classic RTS game, Command & Conquer. Before now, we were limited to still images of single buildings or videos showing off the music. But in both a Reddit post and website update, we get to see a small teaser of the upcoming game’s gameplay.

In a Reddit post by EA intern Jim Vessella, they show off a video that compares the same scene between the original and remastered versions of the game. They also link to a webpage that allows the user to use an interactive slider to compare the footage for themselves.

It looks like a fantastically faithful rendition of the original game. While the texture and animations are clearer and smoother than ever, none of the original “feel” is lost in the new version.

The Reddit thread also confirmed that the player will be able to use the mouse wheel to control camera zoom. The option has become an industry standard at this point, after all.

This is all they revealed at this time. But we’ll be watching closely over the next few months for more information.
