A Year of Rain, a highly anticipated RTS game by Daedalic Entertainment, will be launching a public closed beta before the game’s official release.
Daedalic, the development team best known for State of Mind, has been drip-feeding us information about A Year of Rain since March. At the time, it was described as a co-op focused RTS that pays homage to the classic era of fantasy, magic, runes, and all that. Featuring 2v2 skirmishes and “Against All Odds” game modes, the game is primarily based on playing with a partner, be it AI or human.
Details about what the beta will include have not been said. But with the nature of closed betas, you’ll have to apply if you want to see for yourself. You can do that by visiting the Year of Rain Beta Registration page.
In the meantime, Daedalic is showcasing professional competitions for the game to show off their most recently revealed faction, the Restless Regiment. Each game will be broadcast online. For official times and links to the matches, visit the organization page.
A Year of Rain will release on Steam PC sometime in 2019.
