Iron Harvest, the upcoming steampunk RTS by King Art, will be playable for the first time ever at Gamescom 2019.
According to a dev blog post on the King Art website, the studio will be formally present at Gamescom 2019 in Köln, Germany. Their booth will have playable in-development versions of the highly-anticipated real-time strategy game.
“Between the 21st and 24th of August we will be at Gamescom 2019, Köln, Germany. You’ll find us in Hall 9 at the Deep Silver booth. Come along for a chance to meet the developers and play an updated version of Iron Harvest. We’re excited to be at one of the largest video game conventions in Europe. We hope to show and announce more Iron Harvest details.”
As an extra bonus, their booth will also be hosting a signing session with Jakub Rózalski, the artist whose work inspired the game itself. The session will take place on Tuesday, August 20 at 5 PM local time.
This is pleasant news in a series of rocky announcements for the game. The development company was in dire straits until last April, where they found a new publisher, Deep Silver. They were under uncertain light again last month when the company stated that they cannot in full confidence say that they won’t be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Iron Harvest is set to release in late 2019. Maybe we’ll even get a release date announced at Gamescom, stay tuned.
