The 1-bit medieval real time strategy game Death Crown is breaking beyond its PC release and coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 12.
Death Crown, developed by CO5MONAUT and Stas Pisarev, is a black and white, retro style RTS game where two rivaling nations wage war against each other. It originally released on PC via Steam in August of last year. Now the publisher (Badland Publishing) has announced a release on the three current major consoles, marking this Autumn as the expected release date.
The graphics are reminiscent of early PC gaming. The black and white, pixel-esque style is similar to what you’d see on computer games from the 1980s. What sets Death Crown separate from other RTS games, however, is the fast-paced nature of gameplay. Slow decisions and long-term planning take a wayside in favor of immediate reactions and making the most of every second, since it only takes seconds for the tides of battle to change out of your favor.
Death Crown features three single player campaigns, three playable races, 90 different maps, up to 60 scenarios, with 12 different bosses. Add in a friend and you can play the campaigns cooperatively, or face off against each other in VS mode.
Death Crown is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 12.
