Death Crown Console Ports Delayed Further

Unfortunate news for anyone waiting for Death Crown to release on consoles. The devs and publishers have announced a delay for the console ports.

Death Crown is a “1-bit” style RTS game. While the black and white, low pixel art style is what it may be most recognizably known for, it’s been praised on PC for the fast-paced momentum, making every second count during a game.

Back in July, developers CO5MONAUT and Stas Pisarev, along with publisher Badland publishing, announced plans to release the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The ports were marked to release on November 12, 2020. The release was delayed (pandemic and such).

They’ve issued a proper statement, saying that the ports are delayed further. No details as to when to expect the release were given.

This is a shame. The quick nature of Death Crown seems like it’d be a great option for RTS fans with a Nintendo Switch. The portable nature make it tremendously convenient and the gameplay lends toward shorter games.

We’ll be watching for more information as it becomes available. Stay tuned.
