Get the extinguishers ready and the body bags unzipped. Two classics of their genre collide as Team Fortress 2’s Pyro is introduced as a new minion in Evil Genius 2: World Domination.
Developers Rebellion have released a new major update for the game, which includes an optional DLC pack starring the Pyro from Team Fortress 2. This released alongside the Rise of the Valkyrie DLC pack, which introduces a powerful minion based on Norse mythology. The Pyro DLC pack, however, will be completely free.
The Team Fortress 2 Pyro Pack will include a new Henchman (the Pyro, of course), as well as a side story objective line to recruit them. Additionally, players will be able to find three new loot items: a Briefcase of Australium, a Briefcase of Intelligence, and the Payload.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination is a recently released follow up to a classic base management RTS game from the last generation. In it, you control a spy movie-themed evil genius who has to establish their own secret lair to engage in criminal activities.
While slightly unexpected, this does align cleanly with Valve’s behavior toward their own intellectual property. The company has allowed countless studios, big and small, to implement their characters in cross-promotional events. You can play as the Scout in Fall Guys, for example.
The game is available on Steam now for $40. The Pyro DLC pack is free to anyone that owns the game.
