The highly anticipated Conan RTS, Conan Unconquered, will be releasing a bit early, according to publisher Funcom. They also released the system requirements.
Funcom announced a very mild change in the original release schedule for Conan Unconquered. Originally slated to release on May 30, the game will instead release on May 29. According to Funcom Chief Product Officer Lawrence Poe, it’s because they were just so excited to release it.
“We’re eagerly looking forward to launch and to getting Conan Unconquered into the hands of players. The game has really come together and although the skill cap is high, it’s tremendously fun to play.”
In the same announcement, Funcom revealed the PC system requirements for the game. They’re listed below for your convenience. It looks like even lower end computers will be able to play the game reliably, with casual PCs likely to reach recommended specs.
- Minumum: Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64 bit) 8GB of RAM Core i3 (dual core) @3Ghz+ or equivalent Intel HD Graphics 620 or DX11 graphics card w/ minimum 1GB dedicated RAM Storage – 10GB
- Recommended: Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64 bit) 8GB of RAM Core i5 (quad core) @3Ghz+ or equivalent Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 or AMD RX580 or better Storage – 10GB
Reviews for the game have been positive so far. This isn’t that surprising since it’s being developed by Petroglyph Studios, a team made of ex-Command & Conquer developers.
The base game will be available on May 29 for $30. There will also be a deluxe edition available for $40. This edition comes with the base game, an in-game hero named Kalanthes, an unrevealed in-game hero, the digital game soundtrack, and an exclusive Conan Unconquered eBook by Scott Oden, based on the original Conan short story Black Colossus.
